ORIENTACIÓN AL USUARIO

The purpose of this Commission is to analyze the present situation of and future prospects for the Spanish and world economies, evaluating the possible short- and long-term effects of the economic policy measures established by different bodies and institutions.

Analyses of the current economic situation are conducted by the Commission's Economic Context Committee, which meets monthly.

The Commission comprises:

• Economic Context Commitee, The Economic Context Committee meets monthly to analyze recent economic events and mid-term prospects. Committee meetings are attended by the senior managers of the leading national analysis and consultant services, who furnish their view of developments in key economic areas, evaluating the possible impact of economic policy on these areas and focusing their remarks on the Spanish economy. Their reports are contrasted and supplemented with the input from the industry or regional representatives present at the meetings.
  
  On occasion, Committee meetings are also attended by officials from other - primarily governmental - institutions, who present studies, statistics or updated information of general interest (depending on the nature of the institution) for the analysis of the current economic situation.
  
  
• Data Protection Committee, a CEOE body created to analyze business community problems in connection with the application of the Constitutional Act on Data Protection (Spanish acronym LOPD). To date, the committee has drafted two in-depth studies that have been submitted to the Ministry of Justice and the Spanish Data Protection Agency. The first is a proposal for the Regulations for implementation of the LOPD and the second addresses the practical consequences of the application of personal data protection legislation for companies.
