Secretary: Mr. José De La Cavada Hoyo
This Commission, coordinated by the Labour and Social Affairs Department, is the CEOE's forum for social and labour issues.
The Commission has over 150 members, representing different industrial and regional organizations and companies affiliated with the CEOE. It normally operates in plenary session, although specific working parties are also created as required.
The Commission discusses and establishes management positions in connection both with priorities for Spanish enterprise and with national and international initiatives in areas such as collective bargaining, labour disputes, human resource management, hiring, the labour market, immigration and training.
The Commission also takes an interest in other matters, including occupational risk prevention, social security, health and social services on the one hand, and corporate social responsibility on the other, although these issues are addressed in greater depth by CEOE Commissions engaging specifically in those areas.
The most significant tasks entrusted to the Labour and Social Affairs Commission include the formulation of guidelines for collective bargaining, agreement tracking throughout the year and the CEOE's yearly survey on bargaining agreements, as well as reports on labour disputes or criteria for negotiating social and labour affairs.
